My name is Andy.

I live in Shropshire. Which is in England. Just.

I have a wife and son who I love very much.

I have Parkinson’s Disease with which I have an ambiguous relationship.

I like to walk my dog when I can. She makes me smile.

I used to go for really long walks.

I like being outside in Nature. I think that is very important.

I look at the world that Man has created and I am baffled.

    I’ve just read your piece in the new issue of the Dark Mountain. I just wanted to say how much I admired your story: it opened up new ways of thinking to me. Thank you for that.   2. Hi Andy, I just found your blog by way of (Home is Where the Hearth Is) Ron. He re-posted your pagan blog. You spoke aloud how I feel. I know you said you struggled to write it but let me tell you I’m glad you wrote it. It is a little bit of brilliant work.

    I am baffled by the world of the human, too. We have really tried to set ourselves apart and for the most part we have succeeded. We have been trying to get away from Nature for so long. I think it started when those early people sat around the fire roasting on one side and freezing on the other telling each other there’s got to be a better way. Then we kept going until it became ridiculous. I agree that if we don’t figure out how to stop that Nature will figure it out for us. I do think we can get back to being a part and knowing it without going back to freezing/roasting.

    It just takes a moment to look and see. And then act accordingly.

  3. Hi Andy, I wanted to comment on your first Yule (b)log but could not find a comment section. I wonder if it’s me? Usually it’s me and I’m missing something. I wanted to draw a parallel/metaphor to true leadership from my interactions with horses. I could do it here but I’d rather do it on the actual blog. I wonder if there’s something that be done from your side to rectify? P.S. you Brits and we Yanks have similar or same problem with our “leader(s)”. – Renee
