I was on the brink of not bothering to post today. So much going on. No time or energy left to write.
Then, at the last minute, a friend sends me a poem that fits the bill perfectly. Thanks Sara.

Thank you, Andy. This says it all really. Words are very powerful and at this time we are surrounded by and sometimes overwhelmed by the language of hate, coming also from those who like to think they occupy the ‘moral high ground.’ Now it is so important to be mindful of our words, to use the language of compassion and understanding, to realise that the horrifying conflicts and suffering in the world have their origins in ourselves, in our families and in our communities.
